~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All you pay is for a typical flight of 0.6 in a Warrior.
We provide a FREE Air Judge to sit and score your flying.
If you are not sure what to expect, come on down and see - perhaps you will get a flight in the back seat to experience the comps!
WHY JOIN COMPETITIONS?
Skill Improvement
  • Sharper flying skills: Competitions push you to fly more precisely (navigation, landings, time management).
  • Real-world practice: Events often simulate realistic flying challenges, helping you become a more confident pilot.
  • Constructive feedback: Air Judges are experienced RVAC Members, who sit alongside you and  usually give tips after flights.
Learning & Personal Growth
  • Better decision-making: You learn to plan ahead, manage weather changes, and stay calm under pressure.
  • Goal setting: Monthly events give you something concrete to work toward.
  • Discipline & focus: Preparing for competitions builds strong habits that help both in aviation and school.
Club Networking
  • Meet like-minded people: You connect with other Club pilot's who love flying, from beginners to very experienced.
  • Mentorship opportunities: Senior members often enjoy helping newer pilots improve.
  • Team spirit: Even individual competitions usually feel supportive.
Motivation & Recognition
  • Friendly challenge: Competing makes flying more exciting and keeps you motivated to practice.
  • Achievements: Certificates, logbook recognition, or small awards can boost confidence and add a highlight to your Job Resume.
  • Progress tracking: It’s easier to see how much you’ve improved over time.
Future Opportunities
  • Great experience for aviation careers: Competitions look good when applying for flight training programs or scholarships.
  • Stronger aviation knowledge base: You’ll pick up skills that go beyond the minimum training requirements.
