Course Description

The CPL Navigation (CNAV) course is designed to equip aspiring commercial pilots with the essential knowledge and skills in navigation required for a successful career in aviation. Building upon the foundational principles of private pilot navigation, this comprehensive course focuses on advanced navigation techniques and procedures specific to commercial aviation.

Through a combination of theoretical lessons and practical exercises, students will develop a thorough understanding of the principles of air navigation, route planning, and instrument navigation. The course covers a wide range of topics, including navigation charts, flight planning, radio navigation aids, GPS navigation, and instrument approach procedures.

Students will also learn to analyze weather patterns and their impact on flight planning and navigation. Special attention is given to interpreting meteorological reports, understanding weather phenomena, and making informed decisions regarding safe navigation in various weather conditions.

The CNAV course emphasizes hands-on learning, allowing students to apply their theoretical knowledge in practical scenarios. Simulator sessions provide an opportunity to practice navigation techniques in a controlled environment, simulating real-world flight situations and enhancing decision-making skills.

Course Objectives:

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of navigation principles, procedures, and regulations applicable to commercial aviation.
  • Develop proficiency in using navigation charts, instruments, and equipment.
